Jellyfish Recruitment are working with a well-established food supplier to find an Assistant Technical Manager to support the delivery of food safety excellence, customer confidence & legal compliance. Based on-site, this hands-on role offers the chance to develop further in a fast-paced, quality-focused operation & further develop your technical career.
About The Role:
- Oversee supplier approval, documentation & performance tracking
- Monitor KPIs linked to quality & food safety across the sites
- Manage label compliance, product specifications & shelf-life checks
- Run product recalls, traceability drills & support internal audits
- Ensure lab & swab test results are within normal range
- Maintain SOPs, recipes & implement quality attributes
- Deputise for the Technical Manager when required
Experience Required:
- Experience in a food production environment/technical management
- HACCP, auditing & food safety qualifications (FSA/FSS accredited)
- Skilled in Microsoft Office with strong organisational abilities
- Excellent communication skills & passion for technical standards
- Ability to influence others & drive continuous improvement
