We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our growing financial team at Jellyfish Energy. This role offers candidates an exciting opportunity to develop their career in finance and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, tech-driven energy company. Our Finance Administrator will support our Finance Team in day-to-day operations, assisting department efficiency through this varied role. Our team supports the professional growth and career progression of department members, and embraces innovative change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process supplier invoices, expense claims, and payments accurately and on time
  • Maintain and update purchase and sales ledgers
  • Reconcile bank statements and customer accounts regularly
  • Assist in preparing financial reports, statements, and month-end reconciliations
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities by providing accurate data and analysis
  • Communicate with suppliers and customers to resolve invoice or payment queries
  • Help ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Provide general administrative support to the Finance Team and contribute to ad-hoc projects as required

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience in finance or accounts (1 years’ experience essential)
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and numerical skills
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and familiarity with accounting software (e.g. Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks)
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Proactive, reliable, and eager to learn within a supportive environment
