We are seeking a detail-oriented Brand Compliance Specialist to ensure our products meet regulatory, safety, sustainability, and ethical standards across a wide range of categories. This role will oversee supplier compliance, coordinate product testing and inspections, conduct social audits, and ensure compliance with labelling and warning regulations. The successful candidate will also work closely with product development and our existing compliance team to support smooth, compliant product launches globally.

You\’ll be;

  • Ensuring all products comply with local, national, and international regulatory standards, including safety, environmental, sustainability, and labelling requirements.
  • Monitoring changes in regulations and update internal procedures accordingly.
  • Assessing product risks and support internal teams with corrective actions and improvements.
  • Supporting the business in implementing sustainable compliance practices aligned with ESG goals.
  • Determining appropriate testing standards by product type; brief test labs accordingly.
  • Managing relationships with global test labs and ensure testing is aligned with applicable regulatory standards (e.g. CPSIA, REACH, Prop 65).
  • Coordinating product testing and inspections to ensure consistent quality standards are met prior to shipment.
  • Maintaining complete and organised documentation of testing, certifications, and audit records.
  • Ensuring product labels meet legal and market-specific requirements (e.g. safety warnings, age restrictions, material declarations).
  • Reviewing all artwork and packaging to ensure accurate and compliant labelling.
  • Providing timely guidance to teams to avoid delays in sampling, approval, and production.
  • Managing supplier compliance programmes, ensuring adherence to ethical sourcing, fair labour practices, and sustainability standards.
  • Conducting and review third-party social audits; address gaps with clear improvement plans.
  • Monitoring a diverse supply base, ensuring ongoing factory compliance and audit validity.
  • Working closely with the Product Development team to integrate compliance requirements early in the development lifecycle.
  • Liaising with Marketing, Legal, and Design teams to ensure accurate and legally compliant product communication.
  • Collaborating closely with the existing Compliance Team, following their frameworks and directives to ensure alignment across departments.

You\’ll have;

  • Ideally aBachelor\’s degree in Compliance, Supply Chain, Business, Law, or a related field.
  • Experience in product compliance, supplier compliance, or regulatory affairs (retail industry preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of global product safety and ethical sourcing laws (e.g. REACH, CPSIA, Prop 65, EN71, etc.).
  • Familiarity with product testing protocols and established relationships with global test laboratories.
  • Experience managing diverse product types including POS, retail fixtures, accessories, branded merchandise.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to interpret legal and regulatory documentation.
  • Experience working with global suppliers and navigating complex regulatory environments.
  • Experience conducting factory audits and implementing corrective action plans.
  • Knowledge of sustainability and circular product design principles.
