Jelly Technical is recruiting on behalf of a leading FMCG manufacturer for a Maintenance Manager to join their state-of-the-art production facility in Birmingham. This role offers an opportunity to influence how the maintenance department functions and to positively impact team skills development and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the maintenance team.
  • Provide support to the Engineering Manager in preventing escalation of operational issues.
  • Ensure team resources are allocated for optimal maintenance support across the facility.
  • Work closely with production to ensure rapid response to breakdown issues.
  • Develop and implement coaching and training plans to improve technical capabilities within the team.
  • Represent the business ethos positively to promote high standards, accountability and proactive working.
  • Support and champion the ongoing drive to move the site away from reactive maintenance.
  • Promote a strong health & safety culture.

What You'll Bring

  • Apprentice trained to Level 3 as a minimum, ideally holding a HNC / HND in engineering.
  • Experience in a supervisory / leadership role within a maintenance department.
  • Experience within automated manufacturing environments such as FMCG / Food / Automotive.
  • Strong proactive leadership skills with the ability to positively influence the team.
  • A passion to drive reliability and increase technical knowledge & standards within the team.
