An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Logistics Team Leader to join the night shift team at a leading-edge food manufacturing and production operation. This established business focuses on delivering high-quality fresh products across the UK. You will coordinate the night dispatch team, ensuring that products are accurately picked, packed and loaded onto vehicles according to the schedule. You will champion an efficient, safe and organised warehouse floor while upholding the strict quality standards required by the food production sector. This is a permanent role working 12 hour shifts on a 4 on 4 off rotation and offering a salary of £40,000.
Role and responsibilities of this Logistics Team Leader:
- Allocate daily tasks, manage break rotations and ensure accurate picking and stock rotation.
- Drive shift KPIs, capture productivity data and implement swift mitigation when targets are missed.
- Oversee pre-start safety checks on Material Handling Equipment and champion a proactive health and safety culture.
- Conduct spot checks on picked pallets and ensure high Good Manufacturing Practices and housekeeping standards.
- Complete and countersign all dispatch paperwork accurately within strict timeframes.
- Liaise with operations, transport, and engineering to ensure seamless product supply and handle daily shift handovers.
- Train new starters and upskill current team through positive coaching and support.
Qualifications and experience needs for this Logistics Team Leader role:
- Experience supervising a team within a manufacturing or production environment.
- High standard of English literacy and numeracy to manage accurate operational data.
