Jelly Technical is recruiting on behalf of a well-established food manufacturer in Leek for an experienced Packaging Technologist to support the Technical Team. This technically driven role focuses on driving innovation, packaging sustainability, and continuous improvements. It is a highly instrumental role ensuring packaging is compliant, cost-effective, and offers smooth efficient production capability.

As a Packaging Technologist, your key responsibilities will include:
- Working with internal (NPD, Technical & production) and external teams (suppliers).
- Collaborating with the NPD Team to develop and trial new packaging formats.
- Working with production to ensure a smooth manufacturing process and troubleshoot any issues.
- Offering support across internal teams to optimise process flow.
- Improving existing packaging to increase performance, commercial impact, and reduce waste.
- Driving sustainability to increase the recyclable nature of packaging and highlight areas to reduce materials use.
- Ensuring packaging meets both regulatory and customer requirements.
- Managing and maintaining internal and external specifications and documentation.
- Working with suppliers for new materials trials and approval.
