Jelly Technical are seeking a dedicated Hygiene Operative to join our Quality Assurance and Technical team at a manufacturing facility based in Leek. This role is critical to maintaining the highest standards of food safety, BRCGS compliance and allergen control. You will work closely with the QA team to ensure all production areas and packing lines are meticulously maintained to pass stringent testing. This is a rotating double days shift pattern working 6am - 2pm and 2pm - 10pm the following week. The role of a Hygiene Operative: Execute scheduled cleaning and sanitation across production, packing and warehouse areas. Clean and prepare manufacturing equipment, transfer systems and manufacturing utensils for production. Maintain accurate hygiene checklists, deep-clean records and line clearance documentation. Collaborate with QA Technicians to support hygiene investigations and act on environmental swab results. Qualifications and experience needed for this Hygiene Operative role: Proven experience in a hygiene role within a food manufacturing environment. An understanding of dry-cleaning methodologies and waterless sanitation techniques. Knowledge of food safety standards, including HACCP principles, GMP and BRCGS requirements. Familiarity with COSHH regulations and the safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain paperwork.
