Are you ready to join a global leader in door manufacturing and be part of an exciting growth journey? JELD-WEN Penrith is hiring a Production Line Leader to join our friendly and supportive team.
Welcome to JELD-WEN Penrith – the European flagship for UK production. With the addition of a new manufacturing line and a broader transformation agenda across the business, this is an exciting time to join us. This role will be focused on setting the standards for production and operational activities. As Lead Operative, you will lead and develop your team, remodel production activities towards world-class performance and make continuous improvement standard practice. You will inspire team members towards hitting their targets.
Start Date: 30th March 2026
Location: Penrith CA11
Shifts: Monday to Friday schedule with a rotating 3-shift pattern (6am–2pm, 2pm–10pm, 10pm–6am)
Great Pay: Start from £14.77/hour, with shift premiums and enhanced overtime rates
YOUR ROLE
- Understand and manage PSQDCI Board daily
- Communicate with your team the daily results
- Encourage good practice amongst your team
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Maintaining quality checks
- Work within the specified budgets covering headcount, overtime, absence and holidays
- Cover the role of Value Stream Leader in their absence
- Ensure delivery targets are met and maintained OTIF
- Work closely with Value Stream Leader and Value Stream Manager to control costs
- Be available for stock taking and ensure correct recording of stock levels are carried out daily
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
- We are looking for someone who understands a 'SAFETY FIRST' culture and is able to achieve safety and quality standards
- Previous experience of organising, leading and training others
- Previous experience in a similar environment is desirable however not essential
