YOUR ROLE
We are now looking for a Lead Operative to set the standards for production and operational activities. As Lead Operative, you will lead and develop your team, remodel production activities towards world-class performance and make continuous improvement standard practice. You will inspire team members towards hitting their targets.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understand and manage SQDIP Board daily.
- Communicate with your team the daily results.
- Have a Health and Safety 'FIRST' Mentality and encourage good practice amongst your team.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Maintaining quality checks.
- Work within the specified budgets covering headcount, overtime, absence and holidays.
- Lead and develop the team so that all of Jeld Wen's objectives are met.
- Cover the role of Value Stream Leaders in their absence.
- Work collaboratively within and across teams.
- Ensure delivery targets are met and maintained OTIF.
- Work closely with Value Stream Leaders and Value Stream Managers to control costs.
- Be available for stock taking and ensure correct recording of stock levels are carried out daily.
- Requirement to work as lead operator in other departments to meet the needs of the business.
