SVP - Internal Audit Operations

My client are a global bank who are seeking to expand their internal audit team with the critical hire of an SVP, Internal Audit Operations.

About the Role
: This person will work in a hybrid manner with 2-3 days in the London Office and the rest from home. As an SVP Internal Audit, Operations you work closely with the COO Internal Audit and will support and deputise when necessary whilst ensuring the smooth day to day running of audit operations. This role will support in strategic planning and operational activities across the Internal Audit Department in EMEA.

Responsibilities
:

• Managing the annual audit planning and risk assessments.
• Preparing high-quality management information for senior stakeholders, Committees and the Head Office.
• Managing Audit Department\’s documentation updated (Audit Templates, SharePoint, Report Issuance).
• Monitoring and reporting timelines for audit delivery, Quality Assurance (QA) and Data Analytics (DA) activities.
• Helping with resource allocation and planner.
• Arranging departmental training.
• Procurement process and vendor onboarding.
• Assisting with QA and methodology related activities as and when required by the COO.

The role requires strong stakeholder engagement, cross-regional coordination, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in audit operations and reporting.

We seek an experienced internal audit and operations professional with considerable experience in leading teams of internal auditors. You will understand how the business works and be able to plan operations to add the most value. MI is a key part of the role. This is a role that will be highly visible across the business and so would suit an ambitious candidate with excellent interpersonal and stakeholder relationship management skills.

Previous banking or financial services experience is essential.

c£105-118k base + strong benefits and bonus potential.
