My client, a global bank, are seeking to strengthen their internal audit team and overall strategy with the critical hire of an AVP Data Analytics specialist. This person will sit within the internal department and will join a team of four existing Data Analytics internal audit professionals. Reporting to a VP, the team supports the internal auditors by using data analytics and maintaining the CAATs for continuous monitoring and auditing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with audit teams to deliver data‑driven insights.
  • Developing dashboards, reports, and presentations for senior management.
  • Maintaining documentation and understanding of data structures across firm systems.
  • Supporting the delivery of approximately 80 internal audit reports annually.
  • Managing and prioritising data analytics requests and development pipelines.
  • Collaborating with team members and promoting adoption of analytics tools within the Audit Department.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in data analytics tools (Python, R, ACL, SAS) and visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI).
  • Experience with databases (Oracle, SQL Server) and ETL tools (Alteryx, Talend, Informatica).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams; influencing skills are important.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of business processes within banking or financial services.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.

Location & Working Arrangements

Hybrid model: 2–3 days in the office each week. Based in the City of London.

Compensation

£75‑89k base (depending on level of experience) + strong benefits package and bonus potential.
