My client is a global top 20 bank with the EMEA HQ based in London. Due to an internal move, we are seeking an experienced banking audit manager with particular experience on the credit review aspects of the business. Reporting into the Head of Internal Audit, Credit, you will be responsible for one particular business stream and your main responsibility will be to validate the internal gradings assigned to obligors and facilities of the bank. You will manage the off-site review of credit applications in order to form an independent view of the grade to ensure that the bank’s policies and procedures have been complied with.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking a relationship management role with senior stakeholders.
  • Undertaking the continuous review of approved credit applications with particular focus on confirming the accuracy of the Obligor and gradings.
  • Preparing half yearly reports including root cause analysis of issues arising.
  • Other activities such as follow-up, ad hoc tasks/projects, participating in internal audit assignments, and undertaking peer review activities.

This is a demanding and high profile role within the organisation and as such we are seeking an experienced professional to join the team. The successful candidate is likely to have previous experience of credit analysis within a bank or financial services organisation. An accounting qualification is desirable. Strong interpersonal skills are essential as much of the role involves relationship management.
