The Role
As a Junior Data Analyst, you'll work closely with experienced analysts and business stakeholders to transform data into meaningful insights that support decision-making across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining reports and dashboards using Power BI
- Writing and optimising SQL queries to extract, manipulate and validate data
- Analysing datasets to identify trends, patterns and business opportunities
- Producing regular and ad-hoc management reports
- Supporting data quality, cleansing and validation activities
- Assisting with reporting automation and process improvements
- Translating business requirements into actionable reporting solutions
- Presenting findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Documenting reporting processes and maintaining data definitions
What We're Looking For
This position is ideally suited to a graduate or junior professional seeking their first dedicated analytics role.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Business Analytics or a related discipline
- Experience using Power BI to create dashboards and reports
- Knowledge of SQL and the ability to write queries confidently
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good Excel skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- A genuine interest in data, analytics and business intelligence
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of DAX and Power Query
- Exposure to Python or other analytical tools
- Understanding of relational databases and data modelling concepts
- Awareness of ETL processes or data warehousing principles
- Experience gained through internships, placements or personal analytics projects
