Salary Range: £60,000 – £85,000

Overview
We are seeking a strategic and service-oriented leader to join the clients Head of Data Deployment & Risk Management. This is a Vice President-level role focused on ensuring safe, efficient, and standards-driven change across the clients\’ data platforms.
This is not a highly technical engineering role. Instead, the successful candidate will design and implement a service transition framework to manage high volumes of change across data platforms, ensuring operational safety, consistency, and service quality. The role combines technical oversight, process design, and stakeholder engagement.
You will lead a team of experienced professionals, including two Vice Presidents initially, with the potential to manage up to ten direct reports as the function scales. Success will be measured by the quality of service delivered to internal engineering teams and stakeholder feedback.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a service transition framework for data platform changes
Ensure engineering teams adhere to consistent standards across change and release processes
Oversee risk management and change governance across hundreds of monthly deployments
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define and maintain safe deployment practicesManage and mentor a growing team of experienced professionals
Drive continuous improvement in service delivery and operational resilience
Support strategic planning and resource allocation across the function
Required Experience
Proven experience in change and risk management within financial services
Strong understanding of cloud technologies (AWS certification preferred)
Familiarity with scaled Agile frameworks and modern testing environments
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders
Experience designing service frameworks and operational processes
Desirable Qualifications and Skills
Risk management certifications
Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD practices
Experience in service design and transition
Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
