Vice President - Restructuring

As part of the continued growth of our Middle East Investment Banking franchise, we are seeking an experienced Senior Associate or Vice President to join our Dubai-based Restructuring team.

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will play a key role in executing complex restructuring, liability management, recapitalization, distressed M&A, and special situations transactions across the Middle East and broader EMEA region. Working closely with senior bankers and clients, the individual will be responsible for leading transaction execution, financial analysis, client communications, and junior team development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day execution of restructuring and recapitalization mandates.
• Manage complex liability management, debt restructuring, refinancing, distressed M&A, rescue financing, and recapitalization transactions.
• Prepare and review financial models including liquidity forecasting, integrated operating models, debt capacity analysis, recovery analysis, valuation models, and restructuring scenarios.
• Coordinate due diligence processes and manage interactions with clients, legal advisers, creditors, investors, and other stakeholders.
• Draft and review transaction materials including pitch books, information memoranda, management presentations, term sheets, and board materials.

Client Coverage & Business Development

• Support senior bankers in developing and maintaining client relationships.
• Participate in client meetings, strategic discussions, and business development initiatives.
• Identify new opportunities within existing client relationships and broader market developments.
• Contribute to the preparation of marketing materials and strategic ideas for prospective clients.

Leadership & Team Development

• Supervise, mentor, and develop Analysts and Associates.
• Review financial modelling, valuation work, and presentation materials prepared by junior team members.
• Support recruitment, training, and professional development initiatives across the team.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.

Qualifications & Experience

• 6-10 years of relevant experience within restructuring, investment banking, special situations, leveraged finance, or strategic advisory.
• Proven track record leading execution of complex transactions and managing client relationships.
• Experience supervising deal teams and developing junior professionals.
• Strong commercial judgement and business development capabilities.
• Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills.
• Advanced financial modelling and valuation expertise.
• Strong understanding of capital structures, credit analysis, and debt markets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
