Overview
An opportunity exists for a technically oriented individual to join the Equity technology team in London. The role will focus on developing & maintaining our Equity Swaps platform – supporting front and middle office users in multiple time zones. The successful candidate will collaborate with business partners, analysts and stakeholders across the organisation to deliver the strategic book of work alongside supporting the day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership as required to ensure successful delivery of a project.
- Own specific projects or issues from start to finish. Documenting.
- Work with global colleagues, stakeholders and management to ensure appropriate prioritisation.
- Write high quality code, unit testing, work with QA, and oversee the production release cycle.
Qualifications
- Technically minded. Comfortable both as architect and hands-on developer.
- Strong and experienced C++ developer.
- Capable Java developer with coding experience in the workplace.
- Strong hands-on experience with multi-threading, and real-time systems.
- Using SQL, preferably MS SQL Server.
- Experience with Git-based source control platform – beneficial.
- Experience with Atlassian products (Confluence, JIRA, BitBucket) – beneficial.
- Developing and supporting Windows technology applications, both desktop (UI) and server-side.
- Familiarity with developing for Linux deployment.
- Knowledge of swaps desirable, preferably with prior experience in this or a related area.
- Excellent communication skills – this is a front office role.
- Must be able to perform well under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines.
- Ability to work with colleagues around the world.
- A committed team player.
- Demonstrably bright. Able to work through problems, propose and implement solutions at pace.
