Jefferies is seeking a highly motivated Investment Banking Associate to join its Technology M&A team, supporting a strong and growing pipeline of advisory work across the technology sector. The team is particularly active in software and IT services transactions, advising public and private companies, financial sponsors, and founders across Europe and globally. The position offers the opportunity to work in lean deal teams, with significant exposure to senior bankers and clients, and a high level of responsibility across transaction execution and origination support.
Responsibilities
- Supporting end‑to‑end execution of M&A mandates within the technology sector
- Building and reviewing financial models, valuations, and transaction analyses
- Preparing pitch materials, information memoranda, management presentations, and board materials
- Coordinating due diligence processes and interacting with legal, accounting, and other advisors
- Monitoring market trends and contributing to sector and client coverage initiatives, with a focus on software and IT services
- Managing Analysts and reviewing work output to ensure quality and accuracy
- Assisting senior bankers with origination and business development efforts
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or M&A advisory
- Strong technical skill set including valuation methodologies, financial modelling, and transaction execution
- Excellent academic background in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline
Advantageous Experience
- Software and/or IT services M&A experience, including exposure to SaaS, recurring revenue models, or tech‑enabled services
- Experience advising sponsor‑backed or growth‑oriented technology businesses
- Prior involvement in cross‑border transactions
