Job Description The candidate will be required to support the Operations group with managing the delivery of Projects and Change initiatives within the Securities Lending space. This role would be suitable for a candidate who has experience with managing Equities Securities Lending projects, with emphasis around process reengineering / simplification to improve controls and meet regulatory requirements. The candidate is expected to have a deep understanding of Securities Lending and related processes. The candidate will report into the Head of International Operations Projects. The role will require someone comfortable with working directly with stakeholders across the firm, planning, undertaking analysis, documenting business requirements and coordinating and participating in testing. Key Responsibilities & Tasks Understand existing processes and flows to quickly analyze and determine the root cause of an issue Deliver solutions in a timely and effective manner Participate in any New Business initiatives or Strategic Change programs and define business requirements, new trading flows, revised operational processes or systemic change Manage the delivery of changes from inception, through testing, stakeholder management, signoff and release Work in conjunction with Technology teams to ensure functional specifications are delivered in line with business requirements Manage project issue and risk reporting, ensuring all issues are escalated accordingly Generate and present stakeholder reports for own projects Contribute ideas and identify future projects for the group Build and maintain excellent relationships within Operations, the trading teams & other stakeholders across the group Ability to project manage and take the lead role Adhere to internal and regulatory governance and compliance around behaviour and external interests Qualifications/ Experience Have an in-depth knowledge to the following: Securities Lending and related processes e.g. Pay to hold / Exclusive contracts / Tri-Party mechanics / Prime Finance / Collateral Management / Middle Office functions / Securities Lending Settlements / Billing Global One and SWIFT experience is essential. Experience using Gloss and Contract Compare services are preferable Previous experience within an Operations Change / project environment is essential Display an ability to schedule work, managing time effectively, work independently or within a team and prioritize accordingly Can quickly understand systems and systemically driven processes Have an affinity to detail issues verbally, and in writing, in a clear, accurate and concise manner Possess market wide experience of clearing EMEA business with Local Agents or CSDs Enhanced computer literacy, knowledge of SQL and VBA, analytics via EUC or recognised software are welcomed but not essential Cash Equity Post-Trade knowledge is welcomed but not essential Jefferies Financial Group Inc.
