As part of the Equity Technology team, an opportunity exists for a consultant tester to join the small Securities Finance team to support the UK/EU T+1 Regulatory initiative.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Perform manual and automated testing to ensure software quality.
- Identify, document, and track bugs and issues.
- Experience in regression and integration testing of both front-end and back-end applications.
- Analyze requirements and design logical test scenarios to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Create test strategy, test plans and test cases for projects managed through Agile development Methodology.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Create detailed bugs in Jira with adequate data on the issues and collaborate with development teams to resolve the bugs.
- Perform ad-hoc, negative, regression and integration testing.
- Hands-on experience in API automation with Cucumber, Selenium.
- Strong Knowledge of Java/Python programming language.
- Proficiency in SQL and database management systems (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server).
- Experience with Jira, Bitbucket.
- Understanding of Securities Lending is desirable, preferably with prior experience in this or a related area, e.g., Equity swaps.
- Active experience of AI productivity tools (e.g., CoPilot/Claude) to enhance, maintain test cases.
- Must be able to deliver to tight deadlines.
- Ability to work with colleagues around the world.
- Experience in performance testing tools e.g., JMeter.
