Role Overview
As a Vice President in Jefferies’ Private Capital Advisory group, you will be a senior execution and client-facing professional in the London team, focused on private equity secondaries transactions—spanning GP-led processes, LP portfolio sales, and structured liquidity solutions. You will lead deal workstreams, manage junior team members, and contribute to origination efforts across the EMEA region.
Key Responsibilities
Transaction Origination & Business Development
- Build and maintain relationships with GPs, LPs, institutional investors, and other market participants.
- Identify and pursue new secondary market opportunities in collaboration with senior bankers.
- Support pitch development and strategic client presentations.
Deal Execution & Structuring
- Lead execution of GP-led continuation funds, tender offers, preferred equity, strip sales, and LP stake transactions.
- Oversee and develop complex financial models, valuation analyses, and sensitivity scenarios.
- Manage all aspects of the deal process, including data room preparation, investor outreach, due diligence coordination, and negotiations.
- Liaise with legal, tax, and other advisers to ensure seamless process management.
Market Intelligence & Strategic Insight
- Track and analyse trends in the private capital and secondaries market.
- Prepare thought-leadership pieces, market updates, and sector-specific insights for internal and external stakeholders.
Leadership & Team Development
- Supervise, mentor, and develop Associates and Analysts, ensuring deliverables are of the highest quality.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
- Strong academic background; degree from a leading university. MBA, CFA, or equivalent qualification is advantageous.
- Experience: 6–8+ years’ relevant experience in private capital advisory, secondaries, investment banking, or private equity.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced financial modelling, valuation, and structuring expertise.
- In-depth knowledge of GP-led and LP-led secondary transactions, fund structures, and related documentation.
Relationship Skills:
- Proven ability to originate and maintain client relationships.
- Strong network across GPs, LPs, and institutional investors in the EMEA private equity ecosystem.
Soft Skills:
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple workstreams under tight timelines.
