We are seeking an experienced Vice President/Director to join our Infrastructure Debt Advisory team in London. The successful candidate will play a leading role in originating and executing debt financings across core and core-plus infrastructure, energy, digital infrastructure, and transportation sectors. This individual will work closely with other senior bankers and clients to deliver innovative financing solutions, while mentoring and developing junior colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of debt advisory mandates, including acquisition financings, refinancings, and capital structure advisory.
- Manage overall transaction workstreams, including financial modelling, credit analysis, lender due diligence, and process management.
- Develop financing structures tailored to client needs, working across bank, private credit, institutional, and capital markets sources.
- Act as day-to-day contact for clients, lenders, and other stakeholders throughout transaction execution.
- Lead and support Origination efforts with idea generation, pitch preparation, and client engagement.
- Provide oversight, guidance, and training to Associates and Analysts, ensuring analytical rigour and excellence in client deliverables.
- Collaborate across Jefferies’ global infrastructure franchise and all IB sector teams to deliver integrated solutions to clients.
- Stay current with market trends in infrastructure and investment grade debt, and regulatory developments impacting the sector.
Qualifications & Experience
- 7–10+ years of relevant experience in debt advisory, leveraged/project finance, infrastructure banking, or capital markets.
- Strong track record of executing complex financing transactions within the infrastructure and energy sectors.
- In-depth understanding of infrastructure asset classes and debt markets (banks, institutional investors, private credit, and capital markets).
- Advanced financial modelling, credit analysis, and structuring skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage client relationships and interact confidently with lenders and investors.
- Excellent leadership and mentoring abilities, with experience managing juniors and Deal teams.
- Degree in finance, economics, business, or related discipline; CFA or other professional qualifications advantageous.
