The team works closely with Jefferies’ Sponsors, Leveraged Finance, ECM, and DCM platforms and is actively involved in M&A, IPOs, follow-ons, private placements, leveraged buyouts, and strategic advisory assignments. The Consumer franchise is a core growth area for the firm, with consistent deal flow across both public and private markets.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Analyst to join the Consumer Investment Banking team. This role is ideal for candidates who want meaningful execution responsibility, direct exposure to senior bankers and clients, and a clear path of progression within a high-performing coverage group. The role offers a balanced blend of hands-on technical execution and increasing ownership of analysts, workstreams, and processes, serving as a bridge between Analysts and Associates.

Key Responsibilities

Transaction Execution

  • Play a central role in executing sell-side and buy-side M&A, capital markets, and private financing transactions
  • Build and review three-statement financial models, LBOs, operating models, merger models, and valuation analyses
  • Prepare transaction materials including:
    • Pitch decks and strategic analyses
    • Confidential Information Memoranda (CIMs)
    • Management presentations
    • Board-level materials

Deal & Process Management

  • Coordinate day-to-day execution alongside Associates and VPs
  • Act as a key point of contact for internal product partners (LevFin, ECM/DCM, Sponsors)
  • Review and quality-control Analyst outputs, ensuring accuracy and messaging consistency
  • Support diligence processes, data room management, and advisor coordination

Client & Coverage Work

  • Support senior bankers in developing sector thought leadership, market updates, and client ideas
  • Gain exposure to management teams, sponsors, and institutional investors
  • Contribute to ongoing coverage of key Consumer clients and sponsor relationships

Candidate Profile

Required

  • Investment banking experience at the Analyst level (coverage or product)
  • Strong financial modeling and valuation skillset
  • High attention to detail coupled with the ability to manage multiple workstreams
  • Proven work ethic, judgment under pressure, and team-first mentality

Preferred

  • Experience in Consumer, Retail, or Sponsor-driven transactions
  • Demonstrated progression and readiness to take on Associate-level responsibility
  • Interest in building a long-term career within investment banking
