The Team: The vacancy sits within our Healthcare Equity Research Team, which currently covers 33 stocks across EMEA. The team analyses companies with the primary goal of being our clients’ first call for investment ideas, longer-term themes and industry expertise.
The Role: We are keen to hire an Associate or a VP to join the team in London. The role will involve supporting Senior Analysts, primarily in relation to European Pharma and Biotech, and will entail a range of responsibilities – including collating and analysing data from various sources to extract information, preparing reports and presentations, and building and refining financial models (e.g. DCFs).
Key Responsibilities:- Support the Senior Analyst in maintaining and deepening stock coverage
- Analyse companies and maintain up-to-date sector databases
- Contribute to written reports, presentations and miscellaneous thematic pieces
- Continually improve sector knowledge, particularly in relation to European Pharma and Biotech
- Design and refine a range of financial models
- Experience in a research-driven role in a transferable field, such as audit, accounting, etc.
- Degree/Master’s qualified with a record of academic achievement, ideally involving a scientific subject (e.g. pharmacology, medicine, chemistry, etc.), as the role requires researching pharmaceutical products
- A qualification relating to finance would be highly advantageous (e.g. CFA and/or ACA)
- Highly numerate and analytical
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
