Job Description
As part of the Global Equities Front Office team, an opportunity exists for a Fidessa ETP subject matter expert to join Jefferies integrated front office support team. The successful candidate would work in the fast-paced trading environment sat amongst the Traders whilst in the office and provide 1st/2nd line support to Jefferies trading and Middle Office platforms. The candidate will directly interact with the trading desk and middle office team supporting the day-to-day trading activities. In addition, the successful candidate will work with colleagues, including in-house development teams supporting Jefferies systems, to assist in testing and to deliver integrated solutions to our product development initiatives and client requirements. The candidate will gain hands on experience across a number of different product classes, learn our in house systems and will gain an in-depth knowledge to the global equities flows within the bank
Key Responsibilities & Tasks:
• Day to day support of multiple Equity, ETF & Trusts trading desks
• Support early shifts producing timely system checkouts.
• Testing of enhancements and configuration change
• Assist in scoping out new business requirements and liaise with appropriate colleagues to deliver projects
• Persistent engagement with vendors and stakeholders to track and resolve open issues
• Level 1 & 2 support of trading and Middle Office platform
• Working with global colleagues to support EMEA and Global user requirements Qualifications/ Experience:
• Experience with Fidessa ETP is required from an application support role or very similar
• A working knowledge of electronic trading, portfolio trading and algorithmic trading is necessary • Detailed exposure to BEAM and an understanding of Portfolio Trading
• Experience with Fidessa CTAC or GCTAC ideal
• Good understanding of IOI’s and associated technologies, e.g. IMAR, BlueBox
• Demonstrable exposure to RSP & MM quoting
• Recent experience dealing with wide-impacting market events (e.g. MiFID II, Brexit etc…)
• Knowledge / Experience of FIX protocol a distinct advantage
• Experience with Excel VBA/Bloomberg API an advantage
• Experience running with projects to provide timely updates and end delivery
