Team The Client On-Boarding team are a centralised resource supporting Jefferies’ offices outside of the U.S. for their account opening, maintenance and customer due diligence requirements. It sits within International Operations, located at Jefferies offices in London, and consists of ten individuals led by the Head of Client On-Boarding. Client On-Boarding is split into two teams, one focusing on New business, the other on Client Refresh. Both teams work closely with colleagues in the Front Office, Operations, Compliance, and Legal when undertaking its functions, as well as external clients and service providers.
Role The position is within the New Business team, reporting into Client On-Boarding Manager. The role requires the incumbent to review cases submitted for approval by the analysts against the compliance defined KYC requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake due diligence reviews on new clients in accordance with the firms’ Customer Identification Program.
- Ensure correct account documentation has been collected and uploaded against the client request in groups internal onboarding platform.
- Liaise with the Client, Front Office, Compliance, Legal and other support areas (as required) throughout the on-boarding review process.
- Monitor account request queues and Group Email Inbox.
- Respond to internal and external client queries and requests as appropriate.
- Ensure customer reference databases, workflows and request logs are maintained accurately.
- Minimum three years’ experience on a KYC related project or within a Client On-Boarding team with at least six months in a QA role or similar.
- A good understanding of corporate structures and related customer due diligence requirements.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Attention to detail is a key requirement.
- Ability to prioritize work effectively.
- Knowledge/experience of US and Asia onboarding requirements.
