Role Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Associate to join the Technology Investment Banking team in London. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical capabilities, demonstrated execution experience, and a passion for the technology sector. Associates play a central role in transaction execution, client engagement, financial analysis, and the leadership of junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Transaction Execution: Lead day‑to‑day execution of M&A, IPO, leveraged finance, and other strategic transactions. Coordinate due diligence processes, Q&A, workstreams, and deal logistics across internal and external stakeholders. Prepare and review key transaction deliverables, including information memoranda, management presentations, valuation materials, and internal committee documents.
- Financial Analytics & Modelling: Build, review, and refine complex financial models (DCF, LBO, M&A accretion/dilution, operating and valuation models). Conduct detailed financial, industry, and company‑specific analysis to support transaction recommendations.
- Client Engagement: Work closely with senior bankers to prepare materials for client meetings, pitches, and strategic discussions. Develop insights and perspectives on technology sector trends, market activity, and competitive landscapes. Build and maintain relationships with clients, investors, and key industry stakeholders.
- Leadership & Team Development: Manage Analysts and interns, providing guidance, training, and quality oversight. Collaborate with global sector teams across New York, San Francisco, and Asia to support cross‑border deal execution.
Qualifications & Experience
- 3–5 years of Technology sector M&A experience with Software focus strongly preferred.
- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proven experience executing M&A or capital markets transactions.
- Strong understanding of technology sector dynamics and key business models (e.g., SaaS, fintech, digital infrastructure, IT services).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
