Following an enriching orientation and training program, Summer Interns will begin working on their day-to-day responsibilities, with support from colleagues serving as both instructors and mentors throughout the 10-week engagement. Jefferies’ collaborative program also offers a series of social and informative events to further enhance your professional development and grow your network. As a way to help enhance your experience with us, Interns will receive formal performance reviews.
Summer Interns are challenged to think creatively, offer their input, and contribute to the team from day one. As with everyone at Jefferies, Summer Interns are expected to pursue their projects with excellence, a collaborative spirit, and with the highest levels of integrity. JFIN Summer Analysts will gain exposure to private credit underwriting, origination, and business development.
What we look for in a candidate:
- Ability to multi-task and manage a variety of projects simultaneously.
- Adaptability – both as part of a team and independently.
- Teamwork oriented with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Strong technical, written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Fluency in French, German, Dutch or a Nordic language is an advantage.
You should have a strong academic background and be in your penultimate year of study, with an anticipated graduation date of Spring/Summer 2028. Although a background in accounting or finance can be helpful, we hire Summer Interns who have studied a variety of degree disciplines.
