Jefferies Asset Management

Jefferies Asset Management (“JefAM”) brings together Jefferies’ asset management activities, including Leucadia Asset Management alongside Jefferies Credit Partners (“JCP”), to provide institutional investors with access to differentiated public and private market investment capabilities. As Jefferies continues to evolve, asset management is expected to be an important pillar of growth in the firm’s broader journey, complementing the strength of its global investment banking and capital markets franchise.

• Leucadia Asset Management: A multi-manager platform partnering with differentiated investment managers across hedge fund and alternative investment strategies.
• Jefferies Credit Partners: Jefferies’ private credit investment platform, focused on direct lending and credit strategies for institutional investors, managing portfolios across private credit funds, separately managed accounts and CLOs.

What you can expect

Following an enriching orientation and training program, Summer Interns will begin working on their day- to-day responsibilities, with support from colleagues serving as both instructors and mentors throughout the 10-week engagement. Jefferies’ collaborative program also offers a series of social and informative events to further enhance your professional development and grow your network. As a way to help enhance your experience with us, Interns will receive formal performance reviews.

Summer Interns are challenged to think creatively, offer their input, and contribute to the team from day one. As with everyone at Jefferies, Summer Interns are expected to pursue their projects with excellence, a collaborative spirit, and with the highest levels of integrity.

JefAM Summer Interns will gain exposure to private credit through the Private Credit Product Specialist group within the JefAM Business Development team, supporting product, investor engagement and business development initiatives across the platform.

What we look for in a candidate

• Ability to multi-task and manage a variety of projects simultaneously
• Adaptability – both as part of a team and independently
• Teamwork oriented with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
• Strong technical, written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail

• Demonstrated knowledge of corporate finance and a strong appetite to be part of developing and growing a business

• Fluency in French, German, Dutch or a Nordic language is an advantage

You should have a strong academic background and be in your penultimate year of study, with an anticipated graduation date of Spring/Summer 2028. Although a background in accounting or finance can be helpful, we hire Summer Interns who have studied a variety of degree disciplines.
