b Overview /b p In this role you will own and operate a global, hybrid multi-cloud infrastructure spanning data centers, delivering highly available, scalable platforms through infrastructure-as-code. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and optimize VMware, storage, and data-protection stacks, driving automation to reduce toil. The position combines hands-on engineering with a focus on reliability, security, and performance across regions. This is a chance to shape enterprise infrastructure in a regulated financial services environment and support 24x7 global operations. /p b Responsibilities /b ul li Design, engineer, and operate the global VMware virtualization platform and related components /li li Manage VMware HA, DRS, vMotion, storage vMotion, and ESXi multipathing across production environments /li li Define virtualization strategies across on-prem, hybrid, and public cloud (VMC on AWS/Azure/GCP, HCX) /li li Capacity planning, patching, upgrades, security hardening, and performance troubleshooting /li li Manage and optimize enterprise storage platforms (NetApp, Pure Storage, Nimble/Alletra, FC SAN); provisioning and performance tuning /li li Troubleshoot storage and datastore performance issues /li li Own and operate backup and data protection platforms (Commvault, Cohesity); design DR replication strategies (SRM, Zerto, or equivalent) /li li Ensure backup SLAs, conduct recovery testing, and maintain DR runbooks /li li Build and maintain automation frameworks (Terraform, Ansible, Python, PowerCLI, PowerShell) /li li Develop IaC pipelines for provisioning and configuration management /li li Automate routine tasks to improve efficiency and consistency /li li Collaborate with global teams (Network, Cloud, Desktop, Data Center) to ensure platform stability /li li Maintain documentation, SOPs, engineering designs, and runbooks /li li Participate in weekly on-call rotation supporting a 24x7 global environment /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li VMware certification (VCP/VCAP) /li li 5–8 years hands-on experience with vCenter and vSphere/ESXi 6.x–8.x /li li Deep VMware expertise (HA, DRS, vMotion, multipathing) /li li 5+ years managing enterprise storage platforms (NetApp, Pure Storage, Nimble/Alletra, or FC SAN) /li li 3+ years operating backup/data protection tools (Commvault, Cohesity, or equivalent) /li li 5+ years automation and IaC experience: Terraform; Ansible; Python; PowerCLI; PowerShell /li li 5+ years supporting large, globally distributed systems /li li 5+ years supporting VMware SRM or equivalent DR replication technology /li li Knowledge of NSX-T, vRNI, Log Insight; experience with VMC on AWS/Azure/GCP and HCX /li li Strong TCP/IP and DNS understanding /li li Experience in a financial services or regulated environment /li /ul ul li own your domain end-to-end and surface issues proactively /li li clear and effective communication /li li excellent troubleshooting instincts /li li VMware (vCenter, vSphere/ESXi, NSX-T, vRNI, Log Insight) /li li Enterprise storage (NetApp, Pure Storage, Nimble/Alletra, FC SAN) /li li Backup/data protection (Commvault, Cohesity) /li /ul
