As a Hydro Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our lettuce production, from planting to harvest. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in an innovative agricultural setting, combining traditional farming techniques with modern hydroponic technology.
Key Responsibilities- Working in the processing plant producing ready to eat leaf
- Harvesting
- Cutting & coring the lettuce
- Working in High Care making sure the lettuce is of good quality and packed
- Packing line with metal detection and check weighers
- Factory run at 5 degrees, so warm clothing is necessary
- Removing rubbish
- Cleaning the factory to very high standards to keep the food produced safe
- Planting: Efficiently plant lettuce seedlings in hydroponic systems, ensuring proper spacing and optimal growing conditions
- Harvesting: Carefully harvest mature lettuce, following strict quality control measures to ensure only the best produce reaches our customers
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Keep the greenhouse environment clean and well-maintained
- General Agricultural Tasks: Assist with various agricultural duties as needed, including monitoring plant health, nutrient management, and environmental control within the greenhouse
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to meet production goals and contribute to a positive working environment
