Project Manager, Wessex Operations
Job Purpose
Accountable to Senior Manager Tier 1 for the coordination and delivery of Tier 1 projects as directed, specifically the ownership and execution from End 2 End of Tier1 projects and the management of Tier 1 gas-operations Teams to achieve directed targets and goals, whilst ensuring compliance, safety, efficiency, and cost-effective utilisation of JDT assets.

Key Responsibilities
- Direction and management of assigned gas operations Teams in the delivery of allocated projects (delivering the directed requirement), as JDT authorised contractual representative.
- Delivery of allocated projects as per the operational plan as directed by the Plans Dept to achieve targets and KPIs, and on time, whilst ensuring all resources are used cost effectively and within set budgets.
- Supporting Senior Manager with administration of allocated gas ops Teams (incl starters\’ packs, ensuring qualifications/ competences/training needs, Team holiday plan etc), conducting staff induction as required.
- Ownership from End 2 End of allocated projects from planning, through delivery to closure phases (incl directed tasks such as, but not restricted to, Due Diligence, site visits, resource planning, construction phase planning (push plan), TM development & coord, Client & LA liaison, site clears etc).
- Liaison with supporting functions and internal departments (ie Plans dept/CustCare/Fitters/Reinstatement) to meet allocated Teams\’ requirements, ensure situational awareness, reducing friction & reactive activity.
- Act as Competent Person (CP) for gas operations in support of allocated Teams, as and when required. (SCO5). Act as Authorising Engineer (AE) for issuing Permits to Work in support of allocated Teams (or if under client\’s system, POC for liaison with Client to issue Permits to Work). (SCO1-2AE)
- Maintenance of engineering and safety standards employed by Teams to ensure compliance and a safe place to work, incl conducting audits, assurance checks and training/tool box talks, CAT training and use etc.
- Ensuring own and Teams\’ compliance with company Policies and procedures/ SOPs.
- Capture and reporting up of financial elements of projects (ie CIPs, Invoices, Day Works, WRs, VOs etc), reporting Tier 1 Variation and Damage Reporting issues as identified (SOPs801 & 803).
- Attendance on internal, client and Local Authority planning, and coordination meetings as required.
