We are seeking an Assistant Security Controller, who will assist the Main Controller with the alarms and CCTV monitoring of all sites owned by JD Sports Fashion PLC. You must ensure that all alarms are dealt with expeditiously and key stakeholders are informed of incidents.
Responsibilities
- Deal with alarm activations efficiently and update the relevant stakeholders
- Ensure that all procedures in relation to the ARC are followed and escalated where necessary
- Liaise with the Police/fire in relation to alarm activations
- Use technical knowledge to assist with intruder alarm setting and activations
- Update key holders and ensure checks are made to confirm identity
- Monitor CCTV in stores and report issues to the relevant manager
- Prepare and send nightly reports on issues
- Identify faults and record incidents with Security Tech
- Adhere to all company policies and ensure working within health and safety guidelines
- Carry out weekly checks as per schedule
- Be professional and courteous at all times
- Undertake any other reasonable activities in line with the needs of the business
- Produce footage for the group as requested and ensure compliance with GDPR
Skills and Experience
- Experience of working to health and safety requirements
- Excellent computer literacy skills as all information is recorded on databases
- Able to work under pressure in a busy environment
- Works well as part of a team; supportive of others and to supplement the Duty Controller
- Communicates effectively both written and oral
- Respond to issues quickly, positively in a fast paced and changing environment
- Experience of working in the security industry / Alarm Receiving Centre is essential
- Pass the exam to the required standard once training completed
