JDS Truck & Van are currently looking to recruit skilled and motivated HGV Technicians to join our growing workshop teams across our dealership network. With over 60 years in the commercial vehicle industry, JDS Truck & Van is one of the UK’s leading Renault Trucks and Isuzu dealerships, providing servicing, maintenance and repair support to a wide range of customers and fleet operators. As the commercial vehicle industry continues its transition towards electric and alternative fuel vehicles, JDS Truck & Van are heavily involved in supporting customers on their EV journey.

What you’ll be doing:
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing commercial vehicles to manufacturer standards
- Carrying out diagnostics, repairs, and fault finding
- Recording defects and keeping accurate service records
- Working efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety
- Completing all relevant paperwork and job records accurately
What We’re looking for:
- Have previous experience working within the HGV or commercial vehicle industry
- Candidates with a Level 2 qualification and relevant experience will also be considered
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
- Have strong communication, problem-solving, diagnostic and repair skills
- Can work independently and as part of a team
- Take pride in delivering high-quality work
- Strong understanding of HGV maintenance practices, health & safety regulations, and transport legislation
- Follow safe working practices at all times
- Report accidents and incidents promptly
- Assist in accident investigations as required
- Maintain high housekeeping standards within the workspace
- Adhere to company QEHS policies and environmental controls
