Part-Time SEN Learning Support Assistants required – Primary School – Epping Forest/Ongar area. JDS Recruitment are currently seeking two dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistants to join welcoming primary schools in the Epping Forest area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable experience in education and make a meaningful difference in a child’s learning journey. The roles are available for an immediate start and will initially run until the end of the academic year in July.

The Role:

  • Providing 1:1 support for a pupil with an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP), as well as assisting within small group settings.
  • There are two roles available: the first role is working 25 hours Monday - Friday 8.45am - 2.45pm. The second role is working 16 hours per week, Monday to Friday (12:00pm – 3:15pm, with one day finishing at 3:00pm by agreement).
  • Supporting the delivery of tailored provision in line with the pupil’s EHCP.
  • Promoting the child’s social, emotional, and academic development.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience supporting children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
  • A proactive, flexible, and positive approach to working with children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to travel to a rural school location (a car driver is essential).
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
  • Availability to start as soon as possible.
