Senior Compliance Officer JDS Recruitment | Debden, Essex Full-time | Office-based | Competitive salary based on experience JDS Recruitment is looking for a Senior Compliance Officer to join our busy and dynamic education recruitment team at our Debden office. This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised, proactive and confident individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and communicating with consultants and candidates to ensure all compliance requirements are completed efficiently and accurately. About the Role As Senior Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for managing compliance for a set group of consultants and ensuring candidates are fully compliant and ready to work within the education sector. You will be a key point of contact for consultants, helping to keep applications moving, following up outstanding documentation and ensuring all compliance checks are completed to the required standard. Key Responsibilities Managing compliance for a dedicated group of consultants. Processing candidate applications and ensuring all information is accurate and complete. Communicating with candidates and consultants regarding outstanding documentation. Carrying out Right to Work checks in the UK. Processing DBS applications and checks. Requesting and sending references. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date compliance records on our CRM system. Monitoring outstanding compliance requirements and following these through to clearance. Keeping up to date with changing employment law and compliance requirements. Using internal systems effectively to maintain clear and transparent records. Communicating regularly with dedicated consultants to ensure everyone is kept up to date. Managing multiple applications and compliance tasks simultaneously. Supporting the wider team with general compliance and administrative duties. About You We're looking for someone who is highly organised, reliable and able to multitask in a busy environment. You'll ideally have excellent organisational and time-management skills, strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines at the same time. Excellent attention to detail and a strong telephone manner are essential, along with confidence communicating with consultants, candidates and colleagues. You should be able to work independently while also being a strong team player, feel confident using computer systems and databases, and take a proactive approach to following up outstanding information. Previous compliance or recruitment experience would be ideal, particularly within the education recruitment sector, but we are also interested in hearing from candidates with strong administration, communication and organisational skills. Working Hours This is a full-time, office-based position, working 5 days per week. Hours alternate between: 8:00am – 5:00pm 9:00am – 5:00pm What We Offer Competitive salary based on previous experience. 20 days' annual leave, plus bank holidays.
