The predicted salary is between 24000 - 30000 £ per year.

Job Purpose: Produce Pick List in accordance with customer requirements and stock availability. Ensure customer orders are fulfilled in accordance with OTIF.

Responsibilities:

  • Take delivery of goods, using forklifts where required.
  • Ensure goods are checked for damages and quantity; any issues must be escalated to a manager before the vehicle is allowed to leave.
  • Update computer system to enable accurate stock levels when required by the use of hand held scanners.
  • Put materials away in the warehouse after deliveries in a FIFO order when required.
  • Prepare materials for collection by outside transport companies, ensuring the correct pallets and quantities are ready for loading based on paperwork records.
  • Conduct daily consumables stocktake (pallets, case sets, drums, pails, etc.) and assist with other stock checks when required.
  • Keep yard area clean and tidy on a daily basis.
  • Manage the skips on site, ensuring materials are disposed of in the appropriate skips to maximise recycling possibilities.
  • Perform daily checks on forklift and mechanical handling equipment and complete appropriate paperwork in line with current Health and Safety recommendations.
  • Undertake the duties of the banksman in the yard and control traffic in the yard.
  • Supervise tanker deliveries, ensuring the correct paperwork is received, the batch has been passed by the Lab, directing the tanker into the correct discharge position, and giving consent to discharge once everything has been checked.
  • Assist in the warehouse with general duties including picking, packing, checking stock, using forklift and mechanical handling, and preparing stock for shipping.
  • Maintain knowledge of good practice relating to Health and Safety Regulations concerning yard and warehouse areas.
  • Demonstrate a flexible approach to work with the ability to work overtime if required.
  • Must have good knowledge and recognition of finished goods and raw materials.

Qualifications:

  • Write simple correspondence; present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Basic mathematical skills to include: add and subtract; multiply and divide; use of percentages and decimals.
  • Must have a full UK driving licence.
  • Must have a valid Counterbalance.
