Drivers Mates (With Driving Licence) in Worksop

JDR Recruitment (Mansfield) are working in partnership with our leading home delivery client based between Harworth, S80 and Newark, NG24 to recruit for a number Drivers Mates / Customer Delivery Assistants to join their team.

Duties of the Role:

• Delivering white goods such as American fridges, televisions, etc. to customer properties, working as part of a 2-man team
• Lifting and carrying up to 25kg at a time, ensuring strict adherance to manual handling and health and safety at all times
• Acting as the face of the business, ensuring excellent customer service and professionalism at all times
• Assisting the driver with navigation and contacting the customer via phone to advise of arrival times etc.
• Own transport is essential due to being required to be based from both depots
• Willingness to undertake a driver assessment and go through training to be a Commercial Driver is also beneficial

Shift Pattern:

This role is working a fixed rota of 5 on 3 off which will include weekends.

Please do not apply if you can only commit to Monday to Friday as the shift pattern is fixed and cannot be amended.

Location:

Based between Harworth S80 and Newark NG24

Shift Times:

Shifts start at 7am and typically last between 8-10 hours, depending on routing, traffic, etc.

Rate of Pay:

This role pays £12.81 per hour, paid weekly in arrears. Overtime is paid at time and a half for all hours worked after 45 hours per week, with regular overtime available.

Induction / Start Date:

We have immediate inductions available. After induction we are looking for candidates who can start work straight away with no holidays booked within the next 3 months. Please only apply if you are able and willing to start work on rota immediately. The induction is paid, following completion of your first shift.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the nature of the role, all candidates will be required to undertake a DBS check prior to starting work.
