Why this role?
This is a genuinely hands-on Project Manager position where you will take full ownership of construction projects from initial concept through to completion. If you enjoy seeing your projects come to life, working with autonomy, and being rewarded for delivery, this role offers exactly that. You will be trusted to lead new build, refurbishment, and mixed-use developments, working closely with contractors and suppliers while having real influence over timelines, budgets, and outcomes.
What you will be doing:
- Managing construction projects end-to-end, from feasibility and planning through to handover
- Overseeing new build and refurbishment projects, including steel portal frame buildings
- Coordinating internal stakeholders, external consultants, suppliers, and contractors
- Developing project scopes, programmes, and budgets with clear deliverables
- Monitoring progress, managing risk, and controlling costs to ensure projects stay on track
- Handling variations and changes to scope with confidence and professionalism
- Reporting on project performance and escalating issues where needed
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and building regulations
This is a role where you will be visible, valued, and trusted to get things done properly.
What’s in it for you:
- Strong earning potential - competitive basic salary plus project completion bonus
- Career progression - clear opportunities to develop and grow as projects and responsibilities increase
- Autonomy & ownership - run your own projects from cradle to grave
- Work-life balance - Monday to Friday working hours
- Mileage allowance for work-related travel
- Free on-site parking
- Employee referral reward (£250)
- Discounts for friends and family
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience in construction project management (new build, fit-out, refurbishment)
- Experience delivering projects from inception to completion
- Background working on steel portal frame buildings
- Strong commercial awareness with good budget and cost control skills
- Confident managing contractors, suppliers, and multiple stakeholders
- Comfortable using project management software (e.g. Monday.com or similar)
- RICS qualification is beneficial but not essential
Ideal for someone who:
- Wants variety rather than being stuck on the same type of project
- Enjoys responsibility and seeing tangible results from their work
- Is commercially minded but still hands-on
- Is looking for a long-term role with progression, not just their next job
If you are interested in taking full ownership and genuinely influencing outcomes, not just managing a small piece of the puzzle, apply today!
We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and respected.
