Hygiene Operative / Forklift Truck Driver (FLT) - Cold Storage Warehouse
Location: Wisbech
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm (30-minute unpaid break)
Paid Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Job Type: Full-time | Temporary to Permanent
Pay: £12.92 per hour (Hygiene Duties) | £14.84 per hour (FLT Duties)

JDR Recruitment is recruiting for a Hygiene Operative with a valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence to join a busy cold storage warehouse in Wisbech.
This is a varied role where you'll primarily be responsible for maintaining high standards of hygiene throughout the warehouse. When required, you'll also support the warehouse operation by operating a forklift to load and unload vehicles.

The Role
- Removing ice build‑up throughout the warehouse
- Sweeping floors and maintaining a clean, safe working environment
- Emptying and replacing bin bags
- Carrying out general hygiene and housekeeping duties
- Operating a forklift truck to load and unload goods when required
- Supporting the warehouse team during busy periods
- Working safely within a cold storage/freezer environment
- Following all health and safety procedures and site hygiene standards
Pay Rates
- £12.92 per hour while carrying out hygiene duties
- £14.84 per hour when operating the forklift
- If you spend more than four hours operating the forklift during a shift, you'll be paid £14.84 per hour for your entire shift
What We're Looking For
- A valid Counterbalance and/or Reach Forklift Truck licence (RTITB, ITSSAR, AITT or equivalent)
- Previous warehouse or industrial experience
- Comfortable working in a cold storage/freezer environment
- A reliable, hardworking and flexible approach
- Willingness to carry out both hygiene and forklift duties as required
- Good awareness of health and safety procedures
