JDR are working with a well-established organisation to recruit an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join their busy Belfast operation. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Team Leader or Supervisor who enjoys being hands-on, leading people and keeping a fast-paced operation running efficiently.
The Role
As Warehouse Supervisor, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day coordination of a busy operational team, ensuring workloads are effectively managed and productivity, quality and service targets are consistently achieved. You'll lead from the floor, supporting and developing your team while monitoring performance, resolving operational issues and ensuring processes are completed accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the day-to-day activities of a busy warehouse team
- Coordinate workflow across picking, packing and dispatch operations
- Allocate workloads and resources to meet daily operational requirements
- Monitor productivity, throughput and shift KPIs
- Identify bottlenecks and operational issues and take appropriate action
- Coordinate shift handovers and workload priorities
- Coach, support and develop team members
- Assist with attendance, conduct and performance management where required
- Ensure SOPs and quality procedures are consistently followed
- Escalate stock shortages, system issues and operational delays
- Support incident reporting and investigations
- Work closely with other departments to maintain an efficient operation
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain a safe, organised and efficient working environment
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor, Team Leader or similar
- Experience supervising people within a busy warehouse, distribution or logistics environment
- Strong people management and communication skills
- Experience working to KPIs and productivity targets
- Ability to effectively organise workloads and priorities
- Good problem-solving skills
- Understanding of SOPs, quality procedures and health & safety
- Comfortable working within a fast-paced, time-sensitive operation
Desirable
- Experience within a regulated or quality-driven warehouse environment
- Experience within high-volume picking, packing and dispatch operations
- Continuous improvement or Lean experience
- Experience supporting performance management and staff development
Working Pattern
This is a 40-hour-per-week position operating across a Monday-Sunday rota. Flexibility will be required around operational requirements, including some evening working.
