Van Driver / Installer - Newark
JDR Recruitment are recruiting Van Drivers / Installers to join a busy home delivery team based in Newark, supporting customer deliveries across Nottinghamshire and the wider East Midlands. Immediate starts available – temp to permanent opportunity.
Pay Rate
- £13.63 per hour starting rate
- Increasing to £13.75 per hour after 12 weeks
- Regular overtime available
- Overtime paid at time and a half after 45 hours worked
- Weekly pay
Working Hours
- 5 on, 3 off rota
- Start time: 7:00am (arrival required for 6:50am)
- On the road from approximately 8:00am
- Ongoing, reliable work available
The Role
- Driving a 3.5 tonne delivery vehicle
- Working as part of a two-person delivery team
- Delivering white goods, TVs and electrical products to customers' homes
- Installing products safely and professionally
- Providing excellent customer service throughout every delivery
- Completing multiple deliveries per shift
- Heavy lifting and manual handling of large items
- Ensuring every customer receives a positive delivery experience
Full training will be provided.
Requirements
- Full UK Category B manual driving licence
- No more than 6 penalty points
- No DR10, CD10 or IN10 endorsements
- Excellent customer service skills
- A positive, reliable and professional attitude
- Ability to complete heavy lifting as part of a two-person team
Previous commercial driving, delivery driving or multi-drop experience is preferred but not essential. We are more interested in finding people with the right attitude, strong work ethic and great customer service skills.
