JDR Recruitment are recruiting for Recycling Operatives based in Trafford Park.
Key Responsibilities
- Sort and segregate recyclable materials according to company procedures.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles delivering or collecting recyclable materials.
- Inspect incoming materials and identify contamination or non-conforming items.
- Operate machinery and equipment when trained and authorised.
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards across the site.
- Assist with stock movement and storage of materials within designated areas.
- Follow all site health, safety, and environmental procedures.
- Wear and maintain appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Report hazards, accidents, damaged equipment, or unsafe practices immediately.
- Support processing operations to maximise recovery and recycling rates.
- Work effectively as part of a team to achieve operational targets.

- Physically fit and capable of manual handling activities.

Working Environment
The role may involve working:
- Outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- In a busy industrial recycling yard.
- Around heavy machinery and moving vehicles.

- On rotating shifts, weekends, or overtime as required.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- Manual handling of recyclable materials.
- Working at heights or confined spaces where trained and authorised.
- Ability to wear PPE for extended periods.
Shift Times
Monday - Friday 6:45am-4pm
Basic Hours are paid at £13.80 per hour
Overtime Hours are paid at £20.70 per hour
