We are looking for a Production Operative.
Salary: Β£12.81 an hour
Location: Wellington, Somerset
Immediate start
Shift:
- Week 1: Monday - Thursday 6am-2pm, Friday 6am-12pm
- Week 2: Monday - Thursday 2pm-10pm, Friday 12pm-6pm
Temporary to permanent contract
JDR is recruiting for a Production Operative to work in a large manufacturing site in Wellington, Somerset.
Role Responsibilities:
- Required to set up and calibrate machines as appropriate
- Spraying components
- Assembling components
- Required to inspect parts and packaging to ensure they are accurate and within specification
- Undertakes the accurate hand packing of a variety of products for despatch
- Maintains set production targets
- Completes accurately company & customer paperwork as required
- Takes in & despatches departmental raw material and goods following the correct procedure
- Maintains good housekeeping standards at all times
- Required to be multi-skilled and cross-functional
- Required to safely operate a variety of automated & manual machines and processes products into finished products adhering accurately to the instructions detailed on a route card
Requirements:
- Start immediately and are looking for long term work

- High level of dexterity
- Basic literacy & numeracy skills
- Strong English communication skills
- Previous factory experience
- Previous machinery experience
- Health & safety awareness
- Quality standards
- Identify non-conforming product and take appropriate action
