JDR Recruitment are recruiting for Picker / Packers to work for a large distribution company based in Skelmersdale.
Job Purpose
To ensure accurate and efficient picking, packing, and dispatching of products within a warehouse or distribution centre, meeting company productivity and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick products from warehouse shelves based on order sheets or handheld scanners
- Pack items securely and correctly to prevent damage during transit
- Label and prepare orders for dispatch
- Check quantities and product quality before packing
- Maintain accuracy and meet daily picking/packing targets
- Use warehouse equipment such as scanners, pallet trucks, or trolleys
- Keep work area clean, organised, and compliant with health & safety standards
- Report damaged or missing stock to supervisors
- Assist with stock replenishment and inventory checks when required
Skills & Experience Required
Essential:
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures
Desirable:
- Previous warehouse or picker/packer experience
- Experience using handheld scanners or warehouse systems

Working Hours
Monday 8am-6pm and Tuesday - Friday 9am-5pm. You must be able to work 1 in 2 Sundays but you will get a day off in the week.
