Job Purpose: To maintain a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety throughout the school premises, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets, and communal areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors
- Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately
- Clean and sanitise toilets, sinks, and other high-contact surfaces
- Dust and wipe down furniture, fixtures, and fittings
- Refill supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or health and safety hazards
- Lock and secure areas of the building if required
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including the safe use of cleaning chemicals
Key Skills & Requirements:
- Previous cleaning experience
- MUST HAVE AN ENHANCED DBS CHECK
- Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
- Basic understanding of health and safety practices
- Ability to follow instructions and work to a schedule
