JDR Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Saw Operator / Machine Operator to join our client, a well-established manufacturing and engineering business based in Sutton-in-Ashfield. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous manufacturing, engineering or machine operating experience looking for a long-term career opportunity. Full training can be provided for candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
The Role
- Operating Bowmar saw machinery to cut materials to required sizes
- Measuring and preparing materials ready for cutting
- Loading and unloading materials onto machines
- Setting up saw equipment and adjusting settings where required
- Reading basic measurements and following work instructions
- Checking finished components meet required specifications
- Using measuring equipment to ensure accuracy
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Supporting with general manufacturing and workshop duties as required
The Candidate
- Previous experience within manufacturing, engineering or production (preferred)
- Experience operating machinery would be beneficial but not essential
- Good practical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work accurately with measurements
- A willingness to learn and develop new skills
- A reliable attitude and good work ethic
Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
Friday: 7:00am - 3:30pm
39 hours per week
30-minute unpaid break each day
