We are working with a client who is recruiting for a Junior Buyer.
You can be based from one of three locations: Doncaster, Salford Quays or Milton Keynes.
This role supports the procurement team, helping to manage suppliers, purchase orders and buying activities while developing your purchasing career.
Duties
- Raise and process purchase orders accurately and on time.
- Manage supplier information, delivery dates and procurement records.
- Resolve supplier queries and support invoice administration.
- Maintain procurement databases, reports and performance trackers.
- Produce spend reports and assist with procurement analysis.
- Obtain quotations and carry out market research.
- Support supplier reviews, negotiations and contract renewals.
- Assist with procurement projects and identify opportunities to reduce costs.
- Required Experience
- Previous experience in an administrative, purchasing or procurement role.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines.
- Experience using an ERP system such as SAP, Oracle or Net Suite would be an advantage.
- An understanding of procurement processes or purchasing principles is desirable.
