We are working with a client who is recruiting for a Junior Buyer.

You can be based from one of three locations: Doncaster, Salford Quays or Milton Keynes.

This role supports the procurement team, helping to manage suppliers, purchase orders and buying activities while developing your purchasing career.

Duties

  • Raise and process purchase orders accurately and on time.
  • Manage supplier information, delivery dates and procurement records.
  • Resolve supplier queries and support invoice administration.
  • Maintain procurement databases, reports and performance trackers.
  • Produce spend reports and assist with procurement analysis.
  • Obtain quotations and carry out market research.
  • Support supplier reviews, negotiations and contract renewals.
  • Assist with procurement projects and identify opportunities to reduce costs.
  • Required Experience
  • Previous experience in an administrative, purchasing or procurement role.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines.
  • Experience using an ERP system such as SAP, Oracle or Net Suite would be an advantage.
  • An understanding of procurement processes or purchasing principles is desirable.
