We are recruiting for a Senior HR Advisor to join a well-established manufacturing business. This is a standalone HR position, offering the opportunity to take ownership of the HR function and support the business across all aspects of employee relations, compliance, and people management. This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional who enjoys working autonomously and partnering with management to drive best practice across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for all HR-related matters across the business.
- Review, update, and issue employment contracts in line with current legislation.
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures.
- Provide advice and support to managers on employee relations matters.
- Manage disciplinary, grievance, absence, and performance management processes.
- Support monthly payroll by providing accurate employee data and ensuring payroll changes are processed correctly.
- Liaise with recruitment agencies and manage temporary agency workers when required.
- Ensure HR records are maintained accurately and confidentially.
- Prepare for and support internal and external audits, ensuring HR compliance at all times.
- Keep up to date with employment law and ensure company policies remain compliant.
- Produce HR reports and provide guidance to senior management on HR matters.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a standalone HR Advisor or Senior HR Advisor role.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience drafting and reviewing employment contracts and HR policies.
- Confident managing disciplinary, grievance, and employee relations cases.
- Experience supporting payroll processes.
- Previous experience working with agency staffing and labour providers.
- Experience supporting ISO or customer audits within a manufacturing environment is desirable.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
- Level 3 CIPD +
