Our client in North Preston is looking for a Customer Service/Sales Order taker to deal with the general public who are placing orders. You will be processing the orders, updating customers on deliveries as well as dealing with complaints and order issues. A confident communicator is required to deal with a variety of customers across the UK.

This role is available immediately with a start date w/c 18th May and the client is looking for a candidate to commence on a temporary basis with a view to being taken on permanently.

Temporary rate of pay: c£13.50 Annual Salary: c£28k

Working hours: 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday 8.30 - 5.00 with one in three Wednesdays half a day. However, you must be flexible to work from home to answer queries via email on a rota basis for 2 hours a day on a Saturday or Sunday.

The Role:
  • Taking inbound calls from customers who wish to place orders
  • Advising customers on product availability
  • Updating clients records
  • Processing orders and payments through the online systems
  • Taking and processing PDQ payments
  • Dealing with email queries regarding orders and ensuring that response is made
  • Updating systems with address changes
  • Dealing with product queries, dispatch issues and client complaints regarding deliveries - working with SLAs
Skills and Experience:
  • Confident clear telephone manner
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel
