JDR are recruitment for one of their clients in Runcorn, WA7. The vacancy is a sheet metal worker role and it’s a great vacancy for anyone who’s positive and works great within a team.
Location: Whitehouse Industrial Estate, Runcorn, WA7
Contract type: Permanent
Working hours: 4-day working week: Monday to Thursday, 07:00 - 17:00. There are also part-time options available.

What does the role look like:
- Develop, fabricate, and assemble sheet-metal components using a range of fabrication tools and machinery, including rollers, press brakes, and guillotines.
- Carry out high-quality TIG welding on stainless-steel sheet, mesh, and other metals.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, ensuring accuracy in all manufactured components.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while contributing positively to the wider team environment.
- Complete all required internal and external training to maintain compliance with safety, regulatory, and customer standards.
- Ensure all products meet internal quality standards as well as customer-specific requirements.
- Undertake physical tasks, including lifting, standing for extended periods, and handling heavier materials.
What we’re looking for:
- Trained to Level 3 or equivalent (City Guilds) in sheet metal fabrication and welding.
- Someone who has previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication role.
- Someone who can work well within a team and has a track record of being reliable and delivering high-quality work.
- Someone who has effective time management skills and can prioritise their own workload.
